Shakti Fest, the beautiful spring celebration of the Bhav at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center, occurs next weekend — and for the first time in several years I won’t be there. I’ll tell you why in the podcast, but like a lot of you I’ll miss springtime in the desert, and the beautiful community who will be gathered in Joshua Tree. We’re looking forward to podcasting from Midwest Bhakti Fest in June, and from Bhakti Fest West in September and to seeing many of you then. You can get tickets for all the Bhakti Fests and support the podcast at the same time – buy them here at the New World Kirtan website and get $50 off.
I hope you enjoy this collection of artists who will be playing at Shakti Fest next weekend. In honor of the Divine Feminine and Mother’s Day this weekend the set features female chant leaders. Next week, a conversation with the mercurial spirit that is Gina Sala. Until then my friends — Namaste.
